Bensman: Right, so I’m talking to a cartel smuggler on the Mexican side and I said, ‘to what do you attribute your great new prosperity?’ And he said, ‘la invitacion.’ I said, ‘what does that mean?’ That’s the Biden invitation to all of these migrants. They all heard it, and they’re accepting. And the cartels are cashing in on that. That’s how they put it; that’s how the immigrants put it. If anyone, any reporter, would ever go over to the Mexican side and ask immigrants why they’re coming now, they’ll tell you straight up – every last one of them – ‘ we’re coming because the Biden administration said we could. They treat us well, welcome us in, and they’ve welcomed in all of our friends and family. Why wouldn’t we come in too?’ That’s la invitacion.”
