Excerpt as to whether immigrants are flooding in because President Biden promised an open welcome, contrary to media reporting citing other factors only:
“I would recommend those reporters actually interview migrants, real migrants that are doing the travel and why they’re doing it. I have yet to meet one who said that there was some other reason for why they’re doing this now. And I’ve been interviewing migrants for six, eight months all over Mexico. And, that’s what they tell you. It’s just no big thing for them. They heard the Democrats were going to open the border. They saw Joe Biden restore catch-and-release and end deportations for large categories of migrants. That spurred hope and journeys. Some of them are mad that they didn’t get in. But that’s beside the point. They came because initially they thought that they were going to get in.”
