“There are polls out there that show that of all the issues, maybe next to inflation, what’s happening at the border is a real political liability for Democrats. I think their friends in the media don’t want to draw attention to just how bad it is. Any coverage is like a campaign ad for the Republicans. Really, this is a bipartisan issue, it just fundamentally is. There are Republicans that don’t mind open borders. There are Democrats that want close borders. It’s almost not even a right-left divide. It’s just a homeland security matter.”
